Pasco Family Fall Activities

Scarecrow Workshop: You and your kids make your very own life-size scarecrow to take home! They supply the straw, instructions and a fefw pther items. You bring clothes, scissors and some items from home (list available at registration) TUESDAY OCTOBER 5:30-7:00 per family (pre-registration required) location Pasco Recreation Classroom www.pasco-wa.gov

Fall Hayride: Join us for a visit to the farm on a hayride with music, apple cider and hot chocolate. Everyone will go home with a pumpkin. SATURDAY OCTOBER 10th. Two trips to choose from 10:00 or 12:00 pm. Meet at douglas Fruit off road 68, Pasco. $5 per person (pre-registration required) www.pasco-wa.gov

Country Mercantile harvest festval:
DATES: October 1, 2009 through October 31, 2009.
HOURS: 9 am to Dusk
TICKETS: $6.50 per person, Children two and under are free.
THE DEAL: All tickest include:
Hayride out to the pumpkin patch.
Two massive straw bale pyramids to lose yourself in.
A craft straw bale maze for the kids.
A big red barn full of farm animals, also known as a "petting zoo."
A HUGE 4 acre corn maze to get lost in (come and take your chances to see if you can make it out).
Pony rides on the weekends (weather permitting)

Indoor Places to Play

Once School Starts I start to think about what we are gonna do once the weather isn't as nice. Although Im sure we still have a good while before that happens I wanted to get a list

Smoovies Restaurant: Has great food & Ice cream as well as play area or younger kids on main floor and older kids downstairs (link on sidebar)
The Mall: Play area for youger kids. Might be able to get some shopping in as well
Open Gym: the Midcolumbia Gym over across the freeway from the mall 1523 Fowler phone 735-3861 www.mcga.org/ is only $5/kid on fridays at 10(adults are free),and the Desert Gym phone 544-9178,off of Rd 68 in Pasco http://www.desertgymnastic.com/

Pet Stores: Not really a play place but a good outing for those with young kids, we could stay there for hours!
